My Summer Wish is a compilation of wishes from the people of Winnipeg collected via a letter distributed in parks throughout the city. The project began in June 2021, when the health protocols from the MB government were the strictest they had ever been, stating no one could gather outdoors with anyone outside their household.
The zine is a time capsule: an archive of a period of time that existed in such specific texture & tone that even if there were to be another pandemic in our lifetime (knock on wood), it would never unfold in the same way - with the exact same emotional texture - again.
